Teaching & Curriculum
Organizational & Program Support
In addition to teaching, instructors contribute to STARBASE’s broader mission through specialized roles and projects. All instructors are assigned one or more of the following:
Mentor Program Coordination – Support after-school mentoring initiatives (STARBASE 2.0) and student extension activities.
Pre-Service Educator Engagement – Host and mentor future educators through field experiences and partnerships.
STEM Kit Development – Contribute to the design, assembly, and distribution of STARBASE’s “Destination Mars” STEM kits, reaching 35,000+ students statewide.
Program Innovation – Collaborate on new initiatives, grants, and partnerships that expand STARBASE’s reach and impact.
Program Documentation – Create and revise student learning materials including student mission logs.
Modifications and Instructional Supports – Review curriculum and develop modifications and supports to make materials accessible to all learners.
Our team has a depth of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We have a passion for connecting students with real-world applications to STEM and STEM careers. We utilize immersive, engaging teaching methods along with innovative technologies to create a truly one-of-a-kind STARBASE experience. In addition to teaching, we are continuously collaborating and discovering professional development opportunities that will benefit the STARBASE mission.
