Job Overview

The Summer Support worker is responsible for assisting the Facilities Operations leadership team in advancing strategic goals by supporting initiatives and projects.  This role is designed for college students and offers the opportunity to return each summer, and potentially winter break, providing continuity and growth throughout their college experience.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed. This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; work may differ and other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate.

  • Verifies and enters capital asset-related data into a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Conducts on-site physical inventories of capital assets.
  • Provides administrative and/or field support in the execution of a variety of facilities-related construction, maintenance, repair, and improvement projects and various maintenance service contracts.
  • Performs a variety of administrative tasks including data entry and electronic filing of various contract and project related documents.

     High School Diploma; current undergraduate at an accredited university

     Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in data entry, and customer service preferred
  • Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures; knowledge of MS Office Software 
  • Ability to perform office work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy; plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively; communicate effectively; work cooperatively with others; and work under pressure with frequent interruptions
  • Must possess a valid state vehicle operator’s license

Frequently sitting and/or remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
